Testimonials

“I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in providing our young people with new experiences. Your delivery of the activities was 1st class and your knowledge of the activities and professionalism throughout was 2nd to none. Many many thanks from all at Kibble Care and Education Centre.”

John Austin. Teacher, Kibble Care and Education Centre. Glasgow.

"I just wanted to say in writing how much fun we had on Tuesday Coasteering. We really liked how accommodating you were with our schedule and transportation. Coasteering was a great, fun, and exhilarating challenge... You were patient and never rushed us, which we really appreciated, and provided a safe environment in which to enjoy the activity. Coasteering was definitely one of the highlights of my trip with my friend and there is definitely no better way to experience the coast!...."

"Thank you again for a great time, we really enjoyed it!"

Rebecca Burtney, Ontario Canada. Coasteering.

"Thank you very much for a very relaxing but informative course in navigation!! Not only were you very patient but you also simplified the information in a practical way that is user friendly."

"I feel much more confident that I could manage to get myself off the mountain, should it ever be necessary, even if it means stumbling into a couple of peat bogs on the way....... "

"I know the girls enjoyed the weekend too and hopefully they will take something away from the course that will in time be part of a continuing experience."

"Look forward to doing more with Activities Ireland very soon......."

Kay Armstrong, Introduction to Hill Walking and Mountain Navigation skills course.

"We very much enjoyed it and thought it was well organised and run..."

Jono Shorrock, Stag Party, Coasteering.

"Chris and his team organised an excellent programme for fifteen of our staff in February. A morning of team building activities was followed by a very enjoyable navigation and communications team building exercise in the Mourne mountains. All staff without exception, found the event interesting and challenging and are looking forward to what other future events we can do with Activities Ireland.”

"Set in the Beautiful Mourne Mountains our family holiday started with an exciting bouldering challenge up waterfalls and jumping with encouragement into deep pools. Followed by climbing and abseiling and finished off with Archery. All of the activities were carried out with care and with safety in mind. Our boy’s abilities were very different from ours and all this was taken into account by our expert guide. We all came away with the same comment, When can we do it again!!!!"

The Tizick family, Steve, Louise, Aaron 13 and Liam 10.

"Adventure learning is a useful tool when working with young and adult offenders. Experiencing decision making, following instructions and working as a team are all soft skills which contribute to enhanced employability and the reduction in offending."

Valerie Pitman OBE, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Officer, Probation Board for N.I.

Thomas Alexander Field, children's birthday party.

"Our group had a fantastic experience coasteering with Activities Ireland. The activity was lead proficiently, in a friendly and relaxed manner and their equipment was first-rate. I was impressed by their professional service, and would highly recommend Activities Ireland. Thanks again from all of the group for a very enjoyable day."

Simon Shannon, stag party Dublin.

Forget nailbars and pamper parties, this is THE party for teenage girls. A morning canoeing on the River Lagan provided huge excitement and everyone had a fabulous time. The teen texts and e-mails were buzzing afterwards with (suitably enhanced) tales of derring-do and there are already plans to try kayaking next.

Girls Birthday Party

From a mum's perspective everything went brilliantly. Even pouring rain didn't dampen spirits or spoil arrangements, for the kids were well warned about suitable clothing (old and comfy) and knew to bring a change of gear. We had a mini tent for changing and the rain actually added to the fun and atmosphere .... and it's not often you can say that! I would thoroughly recommend a Canoe Party for any age group and full marks to Chris for managing the mix of fun + professionalism.

Rosemary Hamilton, Managing Director, Future Image

Thank you for a great course. Everyone enjoyed it and most importantly everyone went away with different things.

Andrea Brown, St John’s Scout Group Belfast. Introduction to Hill Walking and Mountain Navigation Skills course for leaders.

I really enjoyed the two day canoeing course. It was a very relaxed and fun couple of days where we got the opportunity to try out both the river at Shaws Bridge and also the lake at Castlewellan. The teaching was good and we mastered a few different techniques thanks to the patience of instructor Chris!

Alison Crawford, Introduction to Canoe and Kayak Skills course.

Once you are able to feel the boat and work together with your partner, canoeing becomes one of the most relaxing sports I have ever tried. The skills I learnt will be so useful in other aspects of my life, aside from canoeing! It was a wonderful experience, one that I will be happy to repeat. A perfect weekend, you must try!! Thanks a mil, Cristina.'
